As Christians we believe…

Jesus preached the Gospel – the good news of the Kingdom of God. Through Jesus’ death on the cross, and his resurrection, Christians believe that God has broken the power of all that is evil, in the world and in ourselves. If we accept forgiveness and liberation, and are willing to be open to the Holy Spirit, God can enable us to resist evil and to live life to the full.

The following websites can tell you more about what is it to be a Christian. But, websites can only tell you so much, so please come explore with those who are already on a journey of faith and faithfulness, expressed in Sunday worship, a discipleship/fellowship group, or our activities for children, young people and families. For further information, please contact the Minister.

As a Methodist Church we believe…

That our calling is to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ, and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission. We do this through:

  • Worship – for the Church exists to increase awareness of God’s presence and to celebrate God’s love.
  • Learning & Caring – for the Church exists to help people to grow and learn as Christians, through mutual support and care.
  • Service – for the Church exists to be a good neighbour to people in need and to challenge injustice.
  • Evangelism – for the Church exists to make more followers of Jesus Christ.
